Effect of Contrast

Contrast of an image is the difference in the color and brightness of one object and the others. High contrast pictures tend to be colorful, attractive, and interesting. However, having too much of contrast can potentially damage details of pictures, especially highlight and shadow parts.

By using the PowerShot, you can increase the contrast of images by enabling "My Colors" setting, and then select "Vivid".
