5th Annual Photography in the Parks Photo Contest

Canon U.S.A. encourages Americans to acknowledge the beauty of nature and explore photography by participating in its 5th annual Canon in the Parks Photo Contest. The 5th Canon Photography in The Parks Photo Contest started gathering photos from May 17 to September 30, 2010.

The contest is open to any legal U.S. resident. Canon will have two contest divisions for photographers between the ages of 13 and 17 (Teen), and a separate division for adults ages 18 and older (Adult).

The grand prize winners (1 Teen and 1 Adult) of the contest will receive the luxury vacation package for two, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit and the PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II Photo Printer. (Note that the EOS 5D Mark II Kit alone is worth more than $3000. WoW!)

There will be photography workshops held for this contest. Since "Inspirational Nature Images" is the theme of the contest, all workshops will be at Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and Acadia National Parks. Joining the workshops will improve your photography skills. For exact schedules see the link below.

PS. We believe that any Canon PowerShot has the potential to win the competition. Good luck photographing!
